  1. You'll need a OS, I have win xp sp3 and i think it's the best choice. Find an iso image of win xp sp3 somewhere, and install it. (VMware -> New Virtual Machine -> etc (should be no problem)). Then shut it down and find the configuration file (.vmx ,probably documents\virtual machines\ etc). Open it and add these lines at the end:

    svga.vramSize = "268435456"
    monitor_control.restrict_backdoor = "true"
    isolation.tools.getPtrLocation.disable = "true"
    isolation.tools.setPtrLocation.disable = "true"
    isolation.tools.setVersion.disable = "true"
    isolation.tools.getVersion.disable = "true"
    monitor_control.disable_directexec = "true"

    Start it up again and install vm tools (VM -> Install VMware Tools). Then you can copy the crossfire installation & install it.
    Go to run -> Regedit
    In regedit: Edit -> Find and search for 'VMware SVGA II'. change every hit to 'Nvidia/ATI' (otherwise cf will see it's a vm)
    That should do it
    But it's very slow here, i hope it's better with you :s
  2. Hey, you use VMware, correct?
    I am unsure on how to install it, can you help me? Like, what other things do I need to download? How do I get them to work, ect..
    I have Windows 7 64-bit.
