I've been thinking about working as a graphic designer for a long time now, but I still have doubts about whether it's right for me.
Right now I'm working in advertising, and I'm very tired of it.
Who would you definitely advise to consider becoming a graphic designer?

definitely spend years working on an arts degree and put yourself in thousands of dollars of debt
don't just start making stuff you are passionate about and see where it takes you

Experience? Lol, life is experience! It took me months to learn new skills and working in Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, etc.Quote:

I always advice trying it out in a smaller local community college if there are any available. This can cut down on cost and if you change your mind it doesn't hurt the pockets quite as bad. I started going to school for Graphic Design and ended up transitioning to Computer Engineering.
