    Benching/Curling Question

    Let's say I want to start benching/curling 2-3 days per week. What should I do before/during/after the work out such as stretching/diets/protein shakes, etc

    I usually eat 1-2 hours before the gym
    Then about 50 minutes before the gym I will eat a snack like a banana, strawberries, peanuts, etc.
    After the gym I'll then have a full meal because I usually eat every 2-3 hours. If you're new then I'd recommend taking protein shakes after but you can take them before too. I would always bring my protein shaker with water already in it and then post gym in my car drop my serving into it, shake and then drink.

    EAT! Thats like most important thing when you go to gym. Do the exercises corretly. I can show you my guy he is online trainer, I can get you a good discount too

    I usually eat something small/medium 1-2 hours before a workout+ pre-work.
    I then would eat a full meal of protein after + protein shake.

    If you want to lift weights, first of all, don't stop at benching and curling, train all your muscles. Then for dieting you must stimate your TDEE and based on your goals you must eat less or more. When eating and what eating just depends on you, in my opinion just get enough protein and not take too low fat.

    I usually eat inb4 the workout cause ive realized how much the energy difference does, and then id prob look at how many calories you need a day to grow if thats your goal.

    And each workout dont just do 1 muscle group, do 2 every workout, so if u doing biceps, you do back too, chest, you do tricpes too and so on

    During workout you should try to vary a lot, shock ur muscles, do supersets and finish with an exercise that you can do until u cant anymore, so start with bench, then incline, then whichever you prefer, then dumbell bench / incline / some push ups inbetween the exercises, dont rest for more than a min or 2 tops between. And depending on which kind of muscle you looking to grow you either do more reps with lower weights or less reps with higher reps.

    Afterwards you should also eat something, protein shake if you once again are looking to grow, if not a snack or something high protein is sufficient.

    And most important, Sleep.

    Too much benching and curling will lead to "gorilla" posture where your larger pectoralis muscles and biceps will pull anteriorly and cause you to hunch forward. Make sure you're working a lot on your back too if you plan on focussing on bench and arms.

    Just don't overtrain, get enough sleep, eat healthy foods with high protein, stretch before working out, post workout shake/meal!

    eat 2 hours before. 1 hour before you can take a light snack. drink lots of water, workout for 45 - 60 minutes. stretching is always good but is not necessary. make sure you eat a big meal after.
