Hey axel, i was playing SP with some workshop weapons before, i saw that that weapon's range was about 500 meters, as the best snipers on the game have a range of 250 meters, so i was wondering, is it possible to change a weapon's range with .dat files? Or this is server side?

this is just basic coding of the items folder unfortunetly nothing works except recoil. and extra scope zoom i tried to do this and a shit ton of other things like make crafting recipes for the grizzly but nothing works on multiplayer

All work in singleplayer, i never say all work online ! Just the No Shake, No Recoil, No Spread work and Scope zoom work online !

@rerdoze Yeah i thing you can change the maximum range but i can't test it now, edit the .dat and search the line with "Range" and change the value by what you want ( like 400 ). Tell me if you try

Well, it only works for SP, Weapon's range is managed by Server from what i see now. Changed Grizzly distance to 500 and sniped someone's head, got the hit mark, but no damage to him, so, from what i think, range is server side. Meh =X

It is just display if you try to put in the items and relog then all your items will drop

Ok thx for information but if you want just play (PvP) with your friends you can run your own server and do the modification on your server ( if you run your own server and do the modification, your friends will have the modification too )
