This hasn't worked for me buddy, i am only missing 1 champ, and yet i continue to get shards for champs i have.

-You can get new released champs (7800 IP) for 5700 IP , which you save 2100 IP.
^You need to have all champions except the 7800 IP champion to do this.

Cons :
-It's random. You will get a random 6300 IP champion, not a one that you choose.
-You need to have all 450 IP, 3150 IP, 4800 IP champions.

But doesn't the champion shards give you random ones even the ones you have...
I'm guessing this would work with mystery champions or skins. For example you start a new account, you buy udyr and you'll have good chance getting the ultimate skin.
