Flight Sim Terrain Engine Hack

Hi all. This is my first post here. Forgive me if this is not the proper area of this forum.

Anyway, I play a game called Lockon which uses a terrain engine with very good graphics. The terrain is locked in file format .lsa2. I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction to open and modify this file. I have access to LARGE amounts of real world satellite and digital terrain elevation maps which I would like to use so I could fly over new terrain in the game.

This is a very interesting concept you have, but I've never heard of any tool for that file format.
