More toxic: Chat or Gameplay?

So this is a self created question I like to ask people when they call me toxic in a competitive gaming environment. What’s more toxic: chat that you can mute or bad gameplay that most likely won’t get corrected within the same lobby? The answer is very obvious to me, gameplay. Think about it, if ur blame aka what you see as the reasoning behind why you’re currently in a losing state, is chat (whether it be voice or text), you can just mute it. The same can’t be said for gameplay as you would be introducing a new tactic or approach to X player. Let me know what you think
