Using the search button is a good start, there's been countless questions asking where to start already asked. Try googling a simple "Hello" world tutorial to get you started. Then have a look at lolland's video tuts in the sticky. Also NextGen has a bunch of tutorials stickied as well you can have a look at.

My only advice to you is: Attempt projects that interest you. You'll be more inclined to troubleshoot your errors and finish a project that you actually like, rather than a boring one a tut gave you.
