Is it possible to see them in their original colors instead of red/blue?
I am having the same issue. I am trying to reinstall now, haven't played the game in ages and this is to get me back into the habit of where to aim and the normal running patterns of the enemies. Or you can call me a cheating fuck, lol. But I will reply back if it works after a fresh reinstall....OH! I am running 64 bit...hope that doesn't mess anything up.

After trying everything, and I do mean everything, suggested here, nothing worked. I completely reinstalled the game, used the installer, tried all the fixes and even tried changing every setting, one at a time, to see if it would work. Nothing. Uninstalled, reinstalled again (to make sure I had a fresh start) and manually installed it this time. Still nothing. Nothing seems to work. I am not sure if it is because I am using a 64 bit system or that this hates me. I know that the servers I was on were sv_pure 0...not sure what to do. I had gotten material hacks for L4D to work before, not sure why TF2 is having a big deal with it.
Does it have an uncolored version? I prefer it uncolored.
And please just make a vid on how to install use and bug fixes
I'm Still Fairly new around here and I was wondering if anyone could tell me about Step 5 (5. Join a server and change your shadow setting in the options menu to whatever you want and then you can change it back or keep it the same.) Because I don't have a clue where to find my shadow setting in the options menu.
It is under video settings, and then advanced.
Help! i loaded the installer but it says installing but it hasn't finished for so long!
Pls make an Wallhack without coloured enemys :D
HOW DO YOU CHANGE THE SHADOW SETTING?
all you have to do once you download it is place the "files" folder in your "custom" folder. I think a walkthrough was covered in version 3
C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\Team Fortress 2\tf\custom
Also: I think i figured out how to stop it from crashing! I played for over an hour without the crash happening. Go into:
C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\Team Fortress 2\tf\custom\files\materials\models
Then delete everything but the buildables, color and player folders, you'll still have colored players and buildings but nothing else... for me, thats more than enough
Note: I run version 3 of this
Dosent work here :p
Okay, finally got it to work. For those of you that it isn't working on, go under the files until you reach the Models folder. Go to your steam folder as mentioned a few posts ago and put it there. Copy it from that spot, go under Materials in there and paste. This will ask to replace all the files it is regarding, click yes for all and it should now work.
