Lag switch not working 2013-2023

Hello I played Planetside2 on January 24, 2013 before that there was no anti-cheat on PS2, so with a little ingenuity it was possible for an individual to impose an account ban on a player who cheated and didn't like it. I had 184 account bans, over 167 hardware bans, and technical sanctions from Daybreak Games, so I spent 10 years trying to get back into Planetside2. Today, after returning, I opened Planetside2, performed a lag switch, and the ping value went up for a few seconds and then returned to normal. In other words, the latency returns to normal after performing the lag switch. Has anyone else experienced this? Can anyone tell me what patches Daybreak has applied and what glitches/exploits/cheats are no longer available? By the time I got back, Planetside2 had added new maps and various other elements that confused me. I am obsolete, so to speak.
