How Do I improve and some designs

I do Photoshop on the side and every time I make something I feel I get better. I always have one problems and that's that whatever I make it always feels empty I was hoping someone can help me figure out what to add next time.

The 1st one I used some particles and the blue thing as well as the sponsors 2nd one I just used the smoke on the bottom and the company logos

You really need some context here also. what are they being used for? But honestly, adding a bit of snow or smoke and some text isn't really a "design", especially if you didn't edit the background images which it appears they came like that. Try finding a basic landscape photo and editing it yourself. Don't expect miracles on your first go but with a few tries and a few different images you'll start to learn a lot and find your own styles.

Looks really good, imho. Still you only created a tiny part of the images, maybe next time you can start with a less edited picture and add these kind of effects yourself.

I like the borders with the logos but it doesn't really look like a full professional level imo with the barley edited backgrounds that aren't made to fit. Fine for personal use though and definitely a good start if you're new.
