Can I get Geolocation or IP from a social media post?

Hello,

let me start with the fact that I`m not a hacker and do not have much IT knowledge, so my question may be easy for some, but not for me. Can I and and if yes how can I see the geolocation or ip of somebody`s posts? I mean get the geo even when the person doesn`t share it intentionally. For example - post 1 was posted from London, Starbucks, post 2 was posted from London, South Park, etc. I googled it, there were many videos to do this with Twitter`s API, but nobody explains the method for noobs, haha. Thanks in advance!
