HDMI Monitor all fucked up?

I ordered a bunch of shit and a computer, and when I try out my monitor, after a minute or so it goes all liney and shit. I'm pissed. It gets these vertical lines, diagonal lines, and the colors are all messed up.
It's an Acer S231HL 1080p monitor. I've tried both DVI and HDMI and it still does it. My graphics are a Radeon HD 7450.
If anyone could help, I'd appreciate it so much.

This kind of errors usually comes from the graphics card, but if it is new i guess it isn't.

Try connecting the monitor to another device and see if they are still there. If they are it has to be the screen.

I tried the screen with my laptop, it still does this. Is there any fix to this, or should I return the screen for a new one? It's also refurbished, not completely new. I'm downloading the drivers for the gpu, will install them when I get home tonight to see if that fixes anything.

You should definitely return the screen and grab a new one. I don't think updating drivers will fix it, but give it a try and if it doesn't work, go get a new one.

It was already determined that it's a screen problem. And as Nachos said, if the screen doesn't work with a different PC, it's pretty damn obvious the screen's broken, not the gpu.
