INTRO NOTES
Updating and Preserving Baseband

• If the process gets stuck somewhere, it's safe to restart the program, reboot the device and rerun the process.
• If your iPhone is dependent on a software unlock, do not upgrade until you can preserve your baseband.
• Don't update via OTA. (Over the air) Please update your device using iTunes.
• If you updated using OTA, do a clean restore using the IPSW corresponding to your iDevice.

  PREREQUISITES
  You need the following before attempting a jailbreak for the process to be successful.
  
  • iDevice running iOS 6.x (Settings > General > About -> Version)
  • A computer, running Windows (XP minimum), Mac OS X (10.5 minimum) or Linux (x86 / x86_64)
  • A USB cable to connect the device to the computer (30 pin or lightning depending on device)
  • 5-10 minutes of your time!
  
  
  PREPARATION
  It's advised you prepare your device before undergoing the jailbreaking process to avoid any unnecessary errors.
  
  
  • If enabled, you should disable the lock code via settings.
  • Backup your iOS device with iTunes or via iCloud.
  • Close iTunes or Xcode before jailbreaking.

JAILBREAKING 6.x USING EVASI0N
Before starting the process, please read all information provided above. Images are provided in the spoilers.

STEP 1.
Prepare your device and download "evasi0n"

STEP 2.
Open "evasi0n" on your system, plug in your device and once your device is recognised, click "Jailbreak"

STEP 3.
Wait for the process to complete. DO NOT touch your device during the process.

STEP 4.
When prompted, unlock your device and tap the new "jailbreak" icon you see on your screen. You only need to tap it once. Your device will go black and return to the homescreen.

STEP 5.
Wait. It should say "jailbreak" complete on the evasi0n program. The device should reboot and you'll see the evasi0n logo and some text on the device.






STEP 6.
You can now exit evasi0n and you will see Cydia on your home screen. You are now jailbroken untethered on iOS 6.x. Enjoy
