Yall are just making weak assumptions based too much on emotions.

The game isn't dead and will probably last a long while, games that allow custom content do.
Sure it might not be at its peak player count but that is prone to go up and down... it's just how it is.
So yeah, stop whining about the game, go play something else if you think it is dead but it just is not.
