I'm going to bed, but basically:
Stop pissing on it if you haven't any experience with it. I'm sick of some of the noobs on here with the "C++ IS THE BEST GODLY SOLUTION FOR EVERYTHING" mentality and the whole ".NET IS SLOW AND FOR NOOBS" Like seriously you guys, the .Net framework is incredibly powerful if used appropriately. I don't expect a hacking forum to appreciate that, but stop speaking poorly of it if you haven't even the decency to study or understand it.
Half the arguments here against it are so wrong and inaccurate it just makes you look like fools.
I'm not a .Net fanboy either. I've written tons of stuff in both C++, C, and .Net. I have way more experience in an unmanaged C++ environment than I do in a managed .Net environment.
There are two types of tragedies in life. One is not getting what you want, the other is getting it.
If you wake up at a different time in a different place, could you wake up as a different person?

Amen. Though most of the hating here is more about "Visual Gayshit" than .NET. I'm thinking the C++ fanboys are just jelly of .NET

Since C++ is used for hack coding, everyone thinks it is the only way to learn a language and that it is the best one..

I agree. Just because you can't do everything in .NET doesn't make it slow and for noobs....You can still do a lot of things with it, which is why I started learning.

I only hate on VB because of the syntax.
Nothing wrong with .net, nor are C#/VB slow or incapable of doing things.

GTKGTKGTKGTKGTKGTKGTKGTKGTK. Cbf to look at .NET
I hate seeing how useful and widely spread it is though, I think I'm gonna get forced into learning it if I'll ever want to work on gui apps on Windows. Damn you MS
I'm Alen on Steam. RIP Skype Friday nights.
I'm Navi's lover 💖
Dave84311: God I've always wanted to eat crayons, with their vibrant colors. Only if they had taste.
Mr. Lonely: @Alen I like making you wet, it makes me hard.
people are hating on .NET ..
I hacked my xbox with .Net and is C++ not now part of .Net?
"Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed. This world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children. The cost of one modern heavy bomber is this: a modern brick school in more than 30 cities. It is two electric power plants, each serving a town of 60,000 population. It is two fine, fully equipped hospitals. It is some fifty miles of concrete pavement. We pay for a single fighter plane with a half million bushels of wheat. We pay for a single destroyer with new homes that could have housed more than 8,000 people. This is, I repeat, the best way of life to be found on the road the world has been taking. This is not a way of life at all, in any true sense. Under the cloud of threatening war, it is humanity hanging from a cross of iron."- Dwight D. Eisenhower
