How to add a new class to my private server?

Hello Guys!

I wanted to add a new class to my private server and I created it in addition.xml, but it won't show up when I create a new character/choose character .

Please help!

I'm new to this forum and I don't know how to add pictures, so I'll attach them. Sorry :'(.

I know this thread is getting a bit old and i dont know if you've gotten your problem solved yet but just go to dat2.xml and copy any class and paste the xml below and ofc change the obj id. Its just like adding a new item except after you've added the char XMl in dat2.xml you'll also have to add the xml in addition.xml with another objid. That'll work fine for you. Remember to add the xml in the client aswell. Use IntelliJ for it. I think the file is called _y8.as. idk. Good luck.
