Who wants to have a sharper/improved visuals in PUBG?

Hi all,

Ever thought of why others could see you while you couldn't? Here's a small trick that helps to improve in-game visual. This tutorial involves the use of ReShade, which is a post-processing injector that helps to give brighter and sharper visuals. The extra clarity it gives help you to spot out enemies easily and have an edge over your opponents. Before starting, I would like to state out that, it is completely fine to use ReShade, as it has been confirmed by a PUBG's Mod.

Let's get started. The whole process will spend you approximately 5 minutes.

1) First of all, you will have to download ReShade from here or below.

2) Kindly exit PUBG as ReShade won't be implemented correctly while the game is on.

3) Open the downloaded content. Tap "Select game" and locate the game on your computer, for me it's located at
E:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\PUBG\TslGame\Binaries \Win64 , choose TslGame.exe (or simply TslGame)

4) Select the rendering API by clicking the small black circle, for me, I've chosen Direct 3D 10+, you may also choose OpenGL (it's up to you)


5) A prompt will appear. It asks “Do you wish to download a collection of standard effect from https://******.com/crosire/reshade-shaders?” Just tap "Yes". The download typically takes 20secs, depending on your internet speed.

6) A list of 'shaders' will then appear. Kindly click 'UnCheck All' until everything is unchecked.


7) You will then have to choose your preferred shaders from the list. I personally recommend the following shaders as it helps to brighten up the game while the graphic still remains realistic, you may also try the others out and find the best combination of shaders that fits you the most.

a) AdaptiveSharpen.fx (Literally, it helps to make visuals sharper, which helps to make visuals less blurry and opponents stands out a bit)
b) Clarity.fx (This sharpens the visuals and gives better colour)
c) HDR.fx (This also helps to sharpen the visuals, gives better contrast)
d) Technicolor2.fx (Helps to make game slightly brighter)

8) After choosing your preferred shaders, tap 'OK' and you're almost up to go. The ReShade setup should show 'Done'. If yes, you may start the game.


9) While loading into the lobby, you might have spotted some texts in the upper-left corner. This means that ReShade has successfully been installed and is working. If no texts were spotted while the game is being loaded, please start all over again and make sure you have followed my steps.

10) Tap 'Shift + F2' when you are in the lobby. The ReShade user interface will pop out.

11) Tap the '+' button in the upper-right corner to create a profile, then tap the blank space provided and set up a name. (I named it PUBG_1.)


12) Tap the grey boxes until it turns blue (as shown in the picture) in order to active the shaders.


13) Have a look at the bottom part. You should be able to see a bunch of numbers, just ignore them. Scroll down and find Technicolor2.fx, then double-tap the current figure (Default: 1.000) and change it to 0.500 (Just my preference, you may adjust it until the colour fits you)


14) After modifying the configurations, tap 'Settings' at the top. The current 'Usage Mode' should be 'Configuration Mode', kindly change it to 'Performance Mode'.


15) Close the user interface (Shift + F2) and you're good to go!

As you can see, you will have a more vivid colour and sharper visuals after using ReShade and the settings that I have suggested.

I water-marked the images due to the fact that I created them,
and have been spending time on editing, cropping and trimming. Moreover, ReShade being known across the PUBG community does not mean that everyone here in MPGH knows that. My thread does not guarantee everyone here to be satisfied, but at least I did put effort, and my goal is to contribute to the MPGH community.

I hereby sincerely invite you to make some contributions towards the MPGH community, instead of questioning my motive/purpose on creating the thread.

By the way as I can see, you are fairly new to this community, I would like to take the opportunity to welcome you to MPGH!

This is a command to call shader Model 4.
Shadows disappear.

So I've tried this and the visuals are nice, but it seems to drop my fps down... Is there a way you can fix that? If not, how can i uninstall this? lol

Simply delete the ReShade folder, which you can find it in the folder that has the TslGame.exe. There might also have two .DLL file, which you have to delete as well. I couldn't provide tutorial yet as I'm currently at work.

Give it a try and test out the shaders that fits you the most. By the way, I have never used -sm4 as I always spot enemies hiding in the corner by looking at the shadow on the wall next to the opponent.

The focus shouldn't be on the images, they are made to make it easier for people to understand the installation process. Better focus on the detailed, step-by-step 'idiot-proof' guide which spent me some time to organize and type it out. Moreover, no one wants MPGH to be a purely hack-related forum. An all-rounded forum helps to make MPGH more recognized and attracts more people to come.

Many of them if not all have never done anything here.
They just want things done the way they want them.

Just ignore them
