TBH not surprised lol. Every single refunder wanted their customers to do Walmart since it was instant even through Walmart is known to rebill (big rebill wave in 2018).
thanks for the heads up!
Anyone know what happens if Walmart sends an email saying the item received does not match what was originally sent so the return is cancelled. What happens if the card that they rebill is cancelled? Will they send the payment to collection or pursue criminal charges? I don't mind paying but don't want to get in legal trouble
Yes, I received an email saying "the item received does not match what was originally sent so the return is cancelled". Almost 1.5 months after return confirmation.
My card was already cancelled so they couldn't bill me. I'm wondering if they will ask me to pay before they go to collections. I was told that worse case is I have to repay but didn't mention any trouble legally or with the cops
Haven't really tried to be rebilled even once, so I cannot tell actually on how far that goes.
Let's wait other members who actually got rebilled share their experience about this.
By the way, cancelling the card won't stop them to rebill you. They will just send a letter to the address you used.
I understand. At this point all I want is to not get in trouble or have this go to collections. If they send me a letter / link to pay the amount and I don't face any legal or criminal charges I can accept that. I understand the risk in this business and was prepared to pay the amount for the items anyway.
