You can use it
Look I know apple can track their laptops, but what if it's an Windows? Like can a company like HP track a laptop, or even someone like best buy. Just wanted to know what would happen?
Okay to explain this in simplest terms so you fully understand this. Not all sites cant track the devices they sell. Manufacturers are the only companies that are legally allowed to track and have control over their devices. Retailers are the only companies that cant track the devices they sell to you. So, if you buy an macbook from best buy. Apple or best buy is not going to know that the device was refunded, and cant blacklist the device as it was bought from the retailer and not directly from apple. If you bought the laptop from apple directly, then this would be different. Apple has control over their devices fully. So they will know if the device has been refunded, has been turned on, used of any sort. If you want to use the device immediately, i would recommend buying from a retailer instead.
