I'm probably better suited to aid in this situation as I've been keeping a track on the PS3 Jailbreak Scene for Quite sometime now, at this moment there are no public releases available to help general users such as you and I to jailbreak our PS3s. Even though the official Sony SDKs for the 4.x firmware platforms are being leaked to the public, this still doesn't help the Jailbreak scene.

A Jailbroken PS3 allows you to run custome firmware that enables homebrew applications to run on them, for instance backup managers and FTP Servers.

Hi @alexertuff,

I can assure you that they are most likely not hacking but probably using a glitch or another exploit in the game as BF3 hacks online are not possible on the current firmware. Feel Free to explain in detail what you saw others doing in game so I can further assist you.

Jail breaking your PS3 would require that you purchase and install a flasher kit. If you do jailbreak you won't be able to go online so no ban.
