The HWID can be extracted from a number of locations on the computer. Everything you have hardware wise, has an ID.
From my experience with how one-time licenses work for programs; most HWID's are extracted from either the GPU or CPU.
I was banned, and I think they did the HWID ban on me, because whenever I go to make a new account. It is instantly banned before I even install or start the game.
I uninstalled Planetside.
I deleted the files in c:/users/MYNAME/Appdata/locallow/sony...
I deleted the files in c:/users/MYNAME/Appdata/roaming/sony...
I used a HWID changer to change all my hard drive IDs:
I have used a mac address changer to change my mac address USING technitium
I have tried checking and unchecking things in windows firewall for planetside.
I have tried several VPN services.
I know it has something to do with this specific pc because I used another computer in my home and it works fine. No Instant ban notification.
Maybe there is a file somewhere or a step that I am missing. Please correct me. Thanks for the advice

I reinstalled windows and it works again. Slightly annoying because I couldn't figure out what on my computer they were reading, but it is obviously not my actual "hardware". I would still like to know what the work around is
I'm also interested, got a permaban for cheating... no wonder, otherwise it would take weeks to get a good gun... or a month. Aaaand I don't wanna reinstall just to play again.
I didn't have this problem, my drives are formatted so that each 1gb = 2 500gb drives, so I just uninstalled the first time, deleted all files, reinstalled on drive D, and didn't give it access to my data. Fixed.
