how to edit a .dll file

Is there any way to edit a dll file?
Liek, Ive seen peepz edit the crossfire public .dll
How do i edit a dll? I dont want to edit anything to do with mpgh. Just afew other things.

it lets you get into .exe .dll and heaps others

and also you don't have to instal it just extract it

Yah, Tried that.
There is a CA working chams ive got and i need to no how to edit it so i can take out the outside link. Tried Res Hacker and i couldnt do it.
