Free Fishing...

Before I begin, I would like to first say I'm sorry if this is in the wrong spot, or if it's been released before, (Because I haven't seen it, and did do a search.)

I wouldn't really call this a guide as much as a release due to the fact that there's only a few steps to it, and it's a "find" since I don't believe anyone has figured out how to use the free fishing rods, since it hasn't been posted.

So without further Adu, here is how to fish for "free."
1. Go into your inventory, and equip either a legitimately acquired Fishing Rod.
2. Cast and wait until you catch something
3. Once something's caught legitimately cancel out on the next cast
4. Put this into your console, and hit enter: cc_set_sub_weapon fishing_rod_cash 2000
4. Cast out, and enjoy the free fish!
5. Go to sleep.

==============NOTES=============

You MUST use a legit fishing rod to catch a fish before you use this. I'm not sure why, but it works no other way for me. Could work differently for you, but what are the odds of that
There MAY be a chance you still have to have a legit fishing rod in your inventory WHILE using the "fake" ones. This I'm unsure of.
This will autofish for hours with free rods
BTW, the harpoons also work too for catching the regular fish.

BUT, here's the catcher...
You are NOT able to do the cheat_fast_fish, autofish_max_wait_time, or anything like that. once you modify the time it takes to receive the fish, it literally gives you NOTHING (not sure why, I'm still looking at the memory reads for that, to see if I can figure a way around this.)

Sorry about this being in the wrong section, I wasn't sure whether it technically qualified as a guide with it being so short, and most people NOT knowing how to actually USE the fishing_rod_cash command.
Also, I'm sure it's probably frowned upon to ask for thanks, but you both say great guide, and I got no thanks you maketh me want to cry :P
Although i Will say getting recognition from Pie made me smile (wasn't really expecting that (Thx Pie :P )

Please note the changes made to the original post reflecting why this wasn't working for you.
I edited the steps to mimic the method that I use verbatim, and tested it it before posting, and it is not patched, and still works.

Thanks for the offer, and as for contributing more, i'll do what I can, without a lot of knowledge on source, and not having any access to the sdk's it limits what I can do at the moment, although i am looking into a few things that if they work, will be a MASSIVE assist to the community.

Wow...so many leechers here, it's like MM***** all over again. Don't get me wrong, I contributed cuz I like to help, but sheesh, help a newbie out with some thanks people, we don't HAVE to share information ya'know.

ok, first off chill out. The thanks button is there for people to push IF THEY WANT TO, not just because you want them to. And complaining about them not pressing it will only serve to detour them.

I think your signature is a fine statement to show your interest in the thanks button. This was overboard, u cant expect to get mega thanks for one simple contribution. It happens over time, i still get odd thanks from things i posted weeks ago.

You're telling me to chill but you're the one freaking out about a simple statement. I was just stating that I just never understood why people show interest in something and use it, but don't have the time to click a button. LOL, I think you need to calm down more than I do.
Anyways, I'm not here to troll, I'm here to gather information jsut as much as I submit it, so we'll le tthis be the end of our little "debacle."
