I would say The Elder Scrolls Online. I don't play anymore but I played like 200H and I loved the game. In my opinion it's very noob friendly, easy to get into it, the controls are pretty easy, the community is most of it very friendly. For me the best MMO I played (however MMO are not by far, my favorite type of game). The PVE is very well balanced and I think PVP I think it was called "War factions" or something like that, can't recall, it was very good and balanced enough (it could be better ofc). Also I was a fan of Skyrim so it was easy for me to get into it. I highly recommend it. I might play again on my PS4

I really hope that identity and star citizen come out great, star citizen is better than ever especially after they introduced the roadmap and are slowly fixing bugs and adding more features with ~400 developers actively working on it, but identity is a completely different story the last trailer they realized that had some gameplay in it did not impress many and the first module that is gonna come out is not going to have any combat/cars or real gameplay at all, you will just be able to walk around maybe talk to people enter a few shops and your home and the worst part is that only a handful of people are working on that game and its also something really original so they will have to develop gameplay features / mechanics that no one else has done before in detail and all of that with ~500k in budget meanwhile, star citizen is working with ~200mil.
As I said I want both games to come out great but I just don't know at this point.
both games exceeded their budget by nearly 370x over then what they set out for
Identity's Kickstarter Goal back in 2014, was initially 60k then upped to 150k, they raised 190k from kickstarter and now with their website open they have 1.2 MILLION DOLLARS from their site and they planned to release alpha back in 2016
Star Citizen's goal on kickstarter was 500k and they planned to release early 2017, and nearly 185 MILLION DOLLARS from their site, they were also delayed 2 years
so sad

Sorry to dig up a 2 month old post, but I would definitely consider trying black desert online if you haven't. Its pretty much the #1 rated mmorpg.
Its cheap for a starter account, and definitely worth a try.

Maplestory 2? I'm looking to get into it myself
I'm fucking hyped for Identity. I would definitely recommend that when the town square module gets released.
