Auto reply on IM

It will be cool to add a function for auto reply on IM. For example: Hey how can I help you?

That is nice.After accepting lets say 20 contacts a day or so you can'tkeep track of all your new contacts.So by sending them an automated message each time you accept someone you ensure noone is forgotten.

Yeah exactly. Also imagen you add someone to buy something. You dont get a notification that the person accepted you. So it will be great to have something that reply automatic

I think a potential issue with this could be that people will set the automated message be "Add me on xyz other chatting platform: username" (S, Disc, etc).

Yea people are already doing it tbh. The thing what I dont like about IM is that we dont get notifications when something happens

Yeah, notifications (of any kind, mobile, desktop, etc) was a feature we were promised before the enforced launch (MONTHS ago at this point). I brought that up with Dave recently and he snapped (as he does) saying it'll get done when it gets done. So, never.

I get that the devs have lives outside of MPGH and no fault to them, but I don't get why Dave and the other higher up staff pushed the IM system when it clearly wasn't ready. That's my issue with it. It's buggy, it's annoying to do business on (I have people add me, I will literally instantly accept and respond but they already closed the tab by that point and the sale is gone if they don't check MPGH again in the next few days while they still need the service, which a lot of less active users won't). The main feature that an IM system needs (push notifications) isn't there. It's just not ready, and to force it on everyone at the stage it's at is/was a pretty big problem.

Um.. we had a developmental team. We do not have one as of now. When we did have the team, i do not think they actually did anything. Then again i do not know anything about coding so maybe they did try to make some attempts

LOL then if the development team is inactive for your garbage IM system, why is it still in place?

Honestly this forum is becoming a joke due to this IM system. which half the time doesn't work

@Asetic IM system works well minus the bugs, etc. We had good reasons to implement IM such as listed below. I am not sure about the rest because i am sure there are technical reasons behind it.
-Limiting impersonators, Direct Contact
-Easier for us to find the scammers
-Information is saved rather than being deleted

the staff might agree with that, but 90% of the USERS of the forum won't..

Everyone I speak to who is a USER and not a STAFF says the im system is complete dog shit.

So you guys don't care about the user's opinions but only the staff's opinion.

Should have made a poll/vote for the whole forum, the USERS of the actual forum to vote on the IM system being the only form of contact instead of just saying hey guys, nothing other than IM allowed. thats the dumbest thing this forum has done and literally so stupid of the staff who did that.
