At the time... Whatever language was used to hack WarRock. So I started with VB6, and became pretty good at Visual Basic.
I stopped for a few years though, and now VB is patched for WarRock i've started coding c++

Well I started out with VB (2005) because it was quite simply the easiest going one I could find a book on. Seemed simple, and wow it was. I loved it for a year or so, I thought I was the bee's knees
Then I tried out a few other languages (such as C++, Java, etc) to see what I could move on to, and hated them all after growing so accustomed to the VS IDE and the whole VB...thing
I stuck with VB for another while, but hated having something so dependent on .NET, and being so...VB. I discovered Delphi while delving into the whole RE thing and fell in love with it. VB got around quite a bit so it wasn't a rough breakup.
I stuck with Delphi for years (and still work with it). My end goal was always to end up coding in C++ as everyone (that I could see) that was worth anything as a coder could at least code SOMETHING in C++.
Only recently have I actually bothered to properly try and learn it, and I'm quite enjoying myself.
Yes really, that is the short version of the story
tl;dr: VB -> Try Everything -> VB -> Delphi -> C++ -> C++/Delphi
I read all PMs and VMs.

C++, got a book for my 9th birthday(didnt ask for it)
Ah we-a blaze the fyah, make it bun dem!
I wanted to make a proper webpage, learned html, php and sql.
html + php + sql --> java + asp --> html5 (if anyone really got into it they know why it's here) --> c++ + python
That's more or less how I go through my lanuguages. I gave VB a shot but it was just ewww so I quit after my first spammer. And I pride on never using v* after that
By now I know the html(5)+css(3)+js+php+sql manuals and sheets backwards already, still working on my java, I kinda dumped asp for personal projects (trying to do everything in php). C++ is mainly in use with my linux programs, python for school stuff and competing with friends (not all of them know c++).

Started with Action Script. Played in it for an year and a half and loved it. Then moved to C. Was pretty similar to Action Script. Then used VB 6 and used it till I found VB.NET. Chose VB.NET as a final language and stick to it. The main reason for choosing VB is laziness. Not that I like its syntax but pure laziness. I really love C++ but CBF to learn it !!
Well I'm not sure why I chose C++ as my first.. But I chose assembly because it's low level, and knowing it makes you look badass.
And C# because C++ & assembly are time consuming when it comes to making a window application, even though I hardly know C#. Plus it's very similar to C++. \:
Started in DOS, made some sorta virus that freezes the comp.
Then to batch, but I got bored of it super-quick.
Then VB.NET, and I kinda stick with it now.
I CBF to learn C++, but I make occasional releases.
