The "pak01_dir.vpk" in the rar file is outdated. Copy the folders to the csgo folder and download VPKPatcher to the csgo folder (Use google) then delete the "pak01_dir.vpk.backup" (if It's exist) and then drag YOUR CLEAN "pak01_dir.vpk" to the VPKPatcher.exe. That's all.

Got VPK Patcher Error.

Make sure you deleted the "pak01_dir.vpk.backup" file before using VPK Patcher or your "pak01_dir.vpk" is CLEAN (default + If u not sure about that > Steam > Library > CS:GO + right click > properties > VERIFY INTEGRITY OF GAME CACHE > Try again!)

im new to this, but i downloaded the folder onto my desktop. if someone could walk me through how to do this step by step it would be greatly appreciated.

pak01_dir.vpk in the rar is OUTDATED! Don't copy that.
Do the verifying and use your CLEAN pak01_dir.vpk!

1 more little thing:
If the CS:GO going to update, just go to the "csgo" folder and delete the "pak01_dir.vpk.backup" file (if exist) and use the VPK Patcher again.

sorry, i cant find the newest vpkpatcher at google. all of them are built in 2012, where can i find it?
