[HELP] Does Anyone know how to JailBreak PS3?

Can anyone help/teach me how to Jailbreak ps3? What do i need and what do i need to do.
I don't know how to jailbreak ps3, but i can root phones.

Wow, the first person to use the PS3 tag! Well from what I know, not an expert, you need to downgrade. I also think you need to install a mod chip in the PS3. I recommend asking @Justin

Hi Natalie,

Assuming you have stayed up to date with PS3 firmwares then you will need to downgrade your console to 3.55 OFW and then jailbreak it to a 3.55 firmware and update to a later CFW.

To downgrade your PS3 console, you will need to know which model your have and if it can be downgraded. The Super-slims cannot be downgraded at all and only the first half the slims can!

If you have a PHAT PS3 and the the First Half of the Slim Generation PS3 then you will need to get a downgrade kit known as an E3 flasher which will then need to be installed by you or someone you know.

Unfortunately there are no known software utilities that will just let you downgrade with ease. Only hardware downgrade utilities are available.

Yes you will need one if your firmware is not on 3.55, unfortunately this is the only way.

Although they can be real expensive, the result of downgrading and Jailbreaking means that you would be able to run homebrews
and download games and play them from a HDD so in my opinion its very well worth doing so!

Tip: there might be some people where you live that can service your Ps3 and Jailbreak it so look around
