New Automatic Renown Farming Method

Ok, so here's a new working method for farming renown automatically. In the absence of brent1000's Address Editor you will unfortunately have to set everything up using CE, but thanks to EduardoGFO's advice (you can thank him here) the farming process itself is much faster.

Here's what you need to do:
1. Download Cheat Engine if you don't have it. Just google it.
2. Start Situation 6.
3. Using CE, find your score and set it to 20000, then freeze the values.
4. Kill yourself or the hostage and press "try again".
5. When the new round has started, launch autorenown.exe.

It should hit the renown cap (25,000) in about 30 minutes. After you get 25,000 renown, you won't be able to get any more until 24 hours have passed.

I have now included a slower version, which is exactly the same but waits 5 seconds more for the round to start. You should probably use that if your game is on a hard drive.
Also included is the original script file that you can freely modify to your liking. However, you will need to install AutoHotkey to run it.

Now, if you don't know how to use CE, here's a detailed instruction:
1. Launch Cheat Engine and press on that glowing button, then select RainbowSix.exe from the process list.
2. Reinforce one of the walls to get 10 points.
3. Enter "10" into the textbox below the "First Scan" button, then press said button.
4. Reinforce another wall and enter "20" into the textbox, then press "Next Scan".
5. You should now have only a few addresses to the left, if that is not the case, you can continue earning points and scanning.
6. Press on the red arrow button, the addresses should appear in the list below.
7. Select them all and double-click on one of the numbers in the values column, set the number in the message box to 20000.
8. Click on all the boxes to the left so that they are all crossed out.

Everything is working fine, I just tried it. No idea how someone can't manage to do this with a tutorial.

Thank you very much for this method "finkrer", but I would suggest that you use TinyTask and make a ".rec" file instead of this executable. It was a bit too fast for me. I would also change the part "Finish the game" to "Kill yourself with C4/Kill the hostage".

You need ~83 rounds with this method to get 25000 renown. I used a 20sec rec file so ~27 minutes. That is pretty nice.

Why? This is much simpler than TinyTask. And I don't think TT allows you to change anything either.

So this is the magic... Thanks, didn't know that Situations has a tighter cycle.
With the recent update, however, I wouldn't risk farming these days, until I've seen more feedback from fellow members.

With TinyTask, you can make your own .rec file and see how much playbacks you did, if you went afk.

Yours was out of snyc, so I made my own. Everything was perfect until the next round started. It started too early - when the second "g" came. So it thought that it already threw C4, which it didn't.

Is it meant to just blow up the hostage with a nitro cell and keep repeating?

And i dont want to sound retarded but if that is the case how does blowing up a hostage repetitively give me renown?

Yes, it doesn't matter if you fail the mission or not. You just need to come to the XP/Renown part. You can kill yourself, the hostage, everything which ends the mission. This is the fastest way and even safer, because statistics to situations doesn't get saved.

You edit the value of points you have. 300 renown is the maximum you can get per round. To achieve that we set your points to 20000. Winning or losing a mission only has an influence on your points, not on if you receive renown or not and since we edit your points to 20000, it doesn't matter if you lose. Killing yourself is just faster than ending the mission. The game thinks you have 20000 points and rewards you with your renown - that simple. Sorry for the long explanation.

You did something wrong. You need to freeze the value after editing it to 20000. The red cross, left of the description called "active".

Ok, I have included a slower version for those who have trouble with this one, as well as the script itself which you can edit and run using AHK. I think this should be enough.

Yes, you need to increase and freeze your score with Cheat Engine before farming. If you have trouble with that, tell us what you are doing and what happens.
