Very serious thread about painkillers

I just got out of surgery for the removal of all 4 of my wisdom teeth. They gave me hydrocodone/acetaminophen 5-325 TB, oval white tablet side 1: 2172. Problem is, I can't swallow pills, I always gag. So I looked up what the medication is and it said it's basically Vicodin. So I was wondering if I can crush them and down them. Obviously it would hit me quicker, but afaik, there's no risk to doing it like that. However, if it's oxy, it would kill me since oxy is meant to be absorbed slowly. Anyone know anything?

Damn you act like it's hard! Just pop the pill with some water. It will be better for you. Or you could possibly put it in a treat...

The best strategy would be to ask them to knife it into four pieces, and then gulp them down with some water. Much easier. Powdering could modify the effects, making it act faster, plus it would probably taste bad + get stuck on your teeth.

I've tried to do the whole, put the pill in your mouth, take a big gulp of water and swallow, but the pill never seems to go down.

Eh, don't really care about a bad taste, it's only temporary.

But yeah, sadly I don't think I can just swallow stuff thats probably like greater than 1 mm in diameter.

I used to be the same way, you'll probably eventually get over it though. It's just a self trust thing, make the whole thing go down at once. If you think about it, you take bigger bites of food and swallow it whole, too.

ok i have the same problem
what your gonna want to do is fill your mouth with water
then your gonna insert the pill through your lips pushing it as far back as you can then just swallow
it should work for you trust me

I mean when you eat food, you chew until its in like a pulp. Idk maybe once my mouth heals I'll practice swallowing pills with candy or something.

just do it like a dog does and put the pill in a piece of cheese

I have the same issue. What I usually do to remedy this is put the pill(s) in your mouth, and get a decent sized glass of water and just tilt your head back and drink normally. Pills usually go down really easy for me that way.

i used to crush all my pills, ( didn't know it changed shit lmao )
but eventually i stopped being a pussy and decided to learn how to swallow pills, so i spent like 4 hours getting that shitty taste in my mouth of half dissolved pills, but soon enough i could do it with ease

I dont think it will kill you it will hit you like a truck and you should really start with a lower dosage and they wont help the whole time its a bit wasted but well you will not die

Its no safer use at all and you should watch out for allergic reactions take the half dosage and you should be fine
Wisdom teeths are cruel btw they gaved me iboprofen this motherfuckers i took a whole pack in 2 days helped 0
