No it is not lies.
If you run Engine without running that launcher it bypasses updates.
Ive done before.

If the file is too big youll have to ask a mod for an outside download link.

it was before. but not anymore....

it gave me this error when i tried to add atachment:

Not Found

The requested URL /editpost.php was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

FAIL. Tried running Engine.exe . The game doesnt load...

can i send the link to some1 and they download it and add the attachment to my thread? a mod maybe?

No there is a special code to put in the properties window of Engine.exe

Create a shortcut to engine.exe and right click on the shortcut and select the target field
Then delete everything in the target field and replace it with this
