Weapon Stats/ NX/ GP Modding game files

The weapon sounds, models, and textures are pretty straightforward (M,T and SND) but are the weapon stats controlled by the Game engine or by the nexon server when you play? Can you mod the game to give you free NX or GP or is that controlled by the servers too?
