HELP with cracked accounts

Is there any way I can change the email/password on an account without the owner getting an email notifying him about it?

I've had both unverified/verified accounts and they (the original owners) still got the email telling them about me accessing their account.

I even tested it on my own account. I made a new unverified account, and tried changing the email on it. I got the message from Rockstar with the recovery link, and I could revert the changes. This means the original owner can do the same.

Any way to avoid this?
The idea of playing stealthy on an account, hoping that the owner won't notice me doesn't sound too nice.

If there's no way over this then how is selling accounts (of any type) fair? The original owner can just revert the changes without any problems.
