You will need these tools in order to edit the files:
-Rez Extract
-Rez Convert
-Rez Inject
-DEdit
Virus Scans
VirusTotal -

VirScan-
Rez tools.rar MD5:c36fb8111cadde3f93a84bd92aa917ca - VirSCAN.org Scanners did not find malware!
The first thing you want to do if copy your combatarms/game folder and save a backup one somewhere else. Then you open up rez extract and go to file/open and select the .rez file you want to edit (You cannot edit a lot of files)
Then ounce you opened that file in rez extract you exit rez extract.
Next you open .rez convert and go to file/open folder to convert and select the new folder that showed up in your combat arms/game folder which is named the same thing as the file you are trying to edit. Then ounce opened with rez convert you click convert to lithtech. Then exit rez convert.
Now you open DEdit and go file/New project and click save and say no to creating a new world. Then exit DEdit and go to your combatarms/Game folder amd open the folder you converted with rez convert. Copy all the files in that folder and go to your rez tools folder and open project0/texture and paste them there. Now you can open DEdit again and go to the toolbar on the middle left side and click on the texture tab. Then scroll down and right click on the weapon or texture you want to edit and press export and send to desktop. After exporting you can open an editing software like gimp2 or paint.net. then with your editing software open your exported file and make it all pretty. Then go to file and save as then save to desktop but make sure you uncheck any kind of compression option.
Next open upDEdit again and go back to the file you exported and right click it again but this time press import and select your new edited file on desktop. Then save your project and exit DEdit.
Then you open rez convert and open up your project0/textures folder and convert it back to nexon. Then go to rez inject and where it says destination or location open the original file you selected to edit at the very beginning. Then where it says add select the file in your project0/textures folder that you imported after making it all pretty. Then click inject.
Last but not least go to your combatarms/Game folder and delete your original file selected at the beginning and there will be a new file named ******.rezNEW (rename this new one to ********.rez
Then your file is all edited and your texture is inserted.
Whenever you want it back just copy the rez file from your backup folder and replace it back with your new one.
