New voting system question.
New voting system question.
K well, we got the new voting team and system,
But there are some issues with it that I didn't think about before.
So I'm sure members of the vote team still want to compete.
But we have to compete and vote?
This wasn't so bad with a poll, but now that points are involved..
we can potentially knock ourselves out of the competition,
By giving points to our opponents.
So how do we get around this?
The whole team probably should vote,
considering that it's not that big,
But usually if I feel I have a shot at placing,
I just won't vote all together.
Can't really do that now, since I'm on the V team.
Feedback on this plox.

Yeah I was thinking about this. Not sure how to counteract it though. I'll see how this SOTW turns out. If I see it as a possible problem then I'll be working with Scrcrw on a way to fix it, and I'll be reviewing how other sites manage their SOTW, especially Delta-Visions (as our model is more or less based off theirs).
I'm thinking that possibly just opening the voting system up to everyone, but then the old problem might come back into play.

Now, you're just going back and forth between the list of people on the team and the people who posted trying to distinguish the valid from the void.
At least with the poll you could just pick out people who you knew didn't have a vote worth anything.
imo this system will work better as it will give better tags a chance for 2nd and 3rd cause of the 3 vote system

it wont always be obvious, and not everyone likes the same styles... some people like those fancy spanzy smudges, others prefer a simpler approach... idk...

and it wouldnt make a difference whether they see who made it in the vote thread or in the entry thread or a thread they make in the show off section
there isnt really any point
and like i said anon doesnt work well, specially since most of us can tell who made it by the style of the tag
