Get an AV. Microsoft Security Essentials (beta version), AVG Home, Spybot S&D, Avast Free... That's just a few free ones that are good.

Imo Norton doesn't justify the resource hog it is with the little performance it offers. All-round test show that Microsoft Security Essentials, Kaspersky, AVG usually rank highest.
