[Problem] Access Denied C Drive

I was playing around with security settings
1. Right clicked C drive
2. Security
3. Edit permissions
4. Authenticated Users
5. I clicked on Deny All for Full control

Since then I had the message access denied to C drive. The problem almost handicaps all normal operation in Vista. BTW i know some one who can fix it but then i need to wait to 1 september Cuz hes on vacation.

Just do it as a different user that still has privileges.

Look online and do some batch editing.
Full admin control then change permission's for the C drive.

eg
cd C:\
permission full

I'm not sure if you removed permissions just from the current users or from any groups so you could try making a new admin account and try using it to change the permissions. Alternatively try MS' support forums, you're more likely to get an answer there.

I wouldn't do that just yet. If nothing else just try restoring to an older restore point (but be sure to back up your data). And first give the MS forums a shot, you might just get your answer there.
