WHY IS DUTCH BIG BIRD BLUE???

Maybe the dutch are religiously fearing of the color yellow.

i am scared of yellow.. i think it's good the dutch big bird (pino) is blue

maybe its more common where they live to see blue birds rather than yellow.

i see both very often...

Actually they wan't to differ from the U.S. characters. Like Elmo and many others are different. On Sesame Street in spanish big bird is yellow but looks really really different from the U.S.'s version. Its not as much copy right issues as much as they want to be different.

Like Pokemon is different in Japan from the U.S. The characters have different colors, but are pretty much the same look.
