Because this forum is obviously the most tech-savvy and the most intellectual, could one of you wizards look over my computer build?
BTW I'm gonna be programming to the max on this shit.
seems excellent to me, better spec then my laptop I'm planning to get. You might want to get 1 4gb ram stick instead of 2 2gb ones in case you ever wanted to upgrade. The AMD quad can go up to 8 gb right? idk /

You better check if your mobo supports IDE, otherwise that optical drive wont work.
EDIT - Yep it does. OK good
Also this is not required (maybe if your worried about comp temps) but you may consider getting a CPU cooler instead of using the stock fan that comes with the CPU. Most CPU Coolers these days come with thermal paste but if not, get Artic Silver 5.
That's what I just did last week because the shitty thermal compound on my stock fan was like drying up and if there is not enough heat transfer from the CPU to the heatsink, your CPU will fry. Now my temps have dropped from around 50C to 27C. I even did some OC'ing after I installed it since my CPU cooler was designed for it (Thermaltake FRIO) but I don't think OC'ing is required with your build :/

I'd like to go dual channel because apparently it's better performance /
And / what max RAM is, I'm happy with 4GB, it's all I need

The stock fan is generally okay as long as you don't OC the CPU.
I'll make sure to pick up some arctic silver, thanks a lot

Don't worry, I'm ordering a minibar too
@thread:
Added 650w PSU in case of upgrades, also Arctic Silver stuff.
@HD: I need one of those, but built into a laptop. Hate space requirements... I can get the chip dispenser, but I'll have to give up the HDD, CD Drive, and Battery. Is it worth it?
totally worth it
who needs to turn on their computer when they have a chip dispenser? lol
Are you going to put thermal paste on a stock fan? You can't use Artic Silver on a stock fan O__o It has it's own thermal compound at the bottom of it :/ Or are you buying just in-case ya buy a new CPU Cooler?
Howcome?
I don't see any obvious problems with it, unless the fan comes pre-applied with some sorta thermal paste.

I edited my post, and yes, all stock fans come with a thermal compound at the bottom which melts when it is hot and harderns when it is cool for heat transfer.
I've had a friend who has just used rubbing alcohol to remove the stock paste and replaced it with some of his own, but I'm not confident that I can do that correctly.
I'll most likely check the price of a HSF at the store tomorrow (Local store btw, used newegg for approx. pricing).
