Optimize V3 [FPS Boost]

This mod is to go along side of McRegion, which you can find here:
McRegion V5 (Game Optimizer)
(Modloader is not required)

Also, the reason I am posting this here, instead of the mods section, is while it technically is a mod, it doesnt effect anything in game, besides code based mechanics. I would think that that section should be saved for REAL mods, like new blocktypes and new crafting recipes.

What it does:

FastRender -more efficient chunk queue processing.
UniText -a completely rewritten text renderer. It's faster and supports Unicode, although the Unicode font files are not included.
Fewer glClears -erasing the entire screen is expensive. This mod avoids it when possible.
Better chunk drawing code -Removing a few useless transforms from the chunk rendering code lets all visible chunks be drawn in a straightforward manner.
Better Tesselation -Modified for speed. TNT explosions no longer cause clients to have horrible lag, and everything in general should feel faster.
Error handling -Doesn't go to a black screen when there's an OpenGL error. Prints a decent error message to the command line instead.

Instructions:

Locate your minecraft.jar file. On Windows, it's in %APPDATA%/.minecraft/bin
Create a backup of minecraft.jar
Open minecraft.jar in an archive editor (WinRar/7-Zip/etc)
Delete the META-INF folder.
Copy the files from the downloaded zip file into the jar file, replacing previous files.
Run Minecraft and test!

This mod may or may not be compatible with other mods (besides Mcregion) If you are having trouble, especially with mods like Betterlight, and Wildgrass, uninstall those mods, and then use these. Depending on the mod, you may or may not be able to use it along side of these two mods.

yea this works good. this and mcregion bumped my fps by about 10.

I personally never have issues, but I know for a fact that MC is a real RAM hog, and a lot of people cant play it. So I'm hoping that this will help a few other people out there.

It also even though it seems like such a low graphic game does push the GFX card as well.

Oh and I recommend this highly! I have used this and it for sure helps even if you already have a good computer. It still improves it!

Are you sure you installed them both? If you did, and installed them both at one time, try installing one, playing, then installing the other.

ALSO: If you are using other mods, they may not be compatible. So far I have seen that Betterlight, and Wildgrass are the main ones that are not being compatible. Ill add to the main post.

What do you mean it broke your netbook?

Can any1 PM me? I deleted the META INF Folder and copyed it into my nicecraft.jar, and now i just get a black screen... I have Minecraft 1.2.2 if that helps...

You will need the latest beta version for this. Check one of the many many many posted threads for beta cracks.
