You have to cut the body out of a block of ash, mahogany, or alder. Just draw an outline first with a stencil and use a vertical saw. Then sand the shit out of it to make it look better.
That's all I know how to do.

My friend made one to resemble a BlackJack ATX, it took him around 4 months to make it, but that was during school. He said it was pretty easy to make. But you'd already have to be good with woodwork to make a decent one.
