If nexon was smart....

Instead of outright banning hackers just disable
(i) buying stuff from the marketplace
(ii) selling stuff on the marketplace
(iii) mailing other characters than yourself
(iv) joining boats - we can host boats but its marked as hax or w/e and others can't take drops/gold reduced to 1/5 + AP reduced to 5

this allows for
(i) people like us to test out commands/dev controls for fun when bored
(ii) casually talk with guild mates/etc without stigmatization

Considering it directly violates their ToS, and Nexon NA can't really do anything anyway that would violate that ToS like condoning third party programs, they wouldn't be able to. Unless Korean Nexon decided to. But considering that they're cracking down on hacking more it's highly unlikely.

As if I would personally roll on one? Probably not, just because at worst I use them for a bit of easy AP farming and not for anything else really. Though I did make a new account that I'm gonna do nothing but use hacks on for the hell of it.

Other games like grand fantasia or whatever adopt a botting system that is lightweight but it counters gold sellers/botters in-game. I'm not sure if other servers do that too, some people join private servers just for fooling around with test commands/etc.

I believe Battle of Immortals also has some form of a bot system, it's also pretty lightweight, I may be wrong though, could swear I remember something along those lines. Or maybe it had one and it was removed, not sure.

i will site diablo 2 in this case. Blizzard had an open and closed server. And how many people STILL play on those servers today? 100's of 1000's of people still. Quake, Unreal Tournament all these games that embraced this balance of allowance have thrived and endured time and challenge.

No point in a closed server for hackers.

if nexon would be smart, they would just permban all of us and just unban those who complain, cuz 90% of those who would be banned would not even think about asking for unban, since they know that they hacked.

with out a legit set of people there would be no point in hacking a game as every one could get what ever they wanted but never make any profit, never sell anything at all. Basically it's every man for himself then. Ur only source of $ would be the very $ u make from ur missions

Regardless, it takes so much away from hacking. This is not Diablo 2, and the community at large doesn't accept hacking. The idea for a server would raise community outrage, which is valued over us.

if nexon is really pissed they might just remove the PVP system, cause thats the only thing we need care for, we got the best items, we never die, we look sexy. NOW WHAT? without pvp i think hacker will quit sooner or later. or maybe its just me.
