About the rank reset thing

Anyone tried resetting their rank/stats/level on MW2 for Steam lately? I just did, but it didn't work. I deleted all the stat files and the ones in that "remote" folder, but still prestige 10.

Either something has changed since the Steam Cloud update, or I'm doing it wrong.

Maybe the ranks changed to server-side.

Send a messeage to steam to get reset.

delete all your MW2 files, or the ones that look profile deedicated
and then try that
if that dosnt work delete everything
if THAT dosnt work get alterIW

if it's not working than the stats are now server sided

Stats are probably not going to ever be server sided for MW2.

Google MW2 config utility, download it, and use its reset system. Note that when you do it, you have to go in game and play a few games so that your new stats will get uploaded to the cloud, because if not, your old stats will just get redownloaded next time the game syncs.

Also, Valve support basically doesnt care about MW2, so dont even bother.
