Notepad++ (Making editing ini files easier)

Just because it's old for you and me, doesn't mean it's old for everybody.

Actually it's not just old to me. Notepad++ has been out for quite some time.

I'm just saying it is old. Never said that it had to be taken down.

Notepad++ is a decent editor, without a doubt - but when it comes to functionality, usability, and (especially) the ability to use it as *the* editor within most any IDE or other development environment - Vim/gVim (vi too while I'm at it) is still a major slugger and a great alternative to the plethora of Windows editors out there. Given, there is a slight learning curve (*cough*), but the raw efficiency and time-saving once you become a little familiar with it is outstanding.

I am by no means attempting to hijack this thread, and apologize if it seams that way... But I most certainly do think, especially within the hack/mod community, more options and alternatives to increase productivity should be a welcome addition!

Look, a post about one of my favorite editors ^^. Never tried vim (lazy), but after that praise I just might. There seems to be enough editors to go around that are decent for both Win and Linux... I need to start using something better for OSX other than Komodo Edit and Text Wrangler.

Another one of interest is the Scintilla Text Editor, on which Notepad++ is based. I find myself alternating between the both of them depending on my mood.
