You guys ever have that awkward moment you are at a stop light and you look to your side and you meet eyes with other drivers/passengers? How awkward is that. 
That is not awkward at all, unless you are anti-social, of course.

I've actually caught people, and when they look at me I either laugh my balls off or make a mock repulsed face at them.
