[Request] Can anyone help iPhone 3gs

I am new to jailbreaking (i've jailbroken with a friend before but so long ago) and I can't find anything... I has 3gs, 4.0 firmware. Any help would be loved

@DareoTheOreo, just go to jailbreakme.com on your iPhone safari, and it should work

Yeah, thanks. I ended up doing that, but my phone froze and corrupted and had to update to 5.1.

no jb in 5.1, but if u manage to downgrade to 5.0.1 u have a untethered jb for ALL devices

it basically how a jailbreak is classified,
Untethered is when you can shut down, or reboot a device without connecting it with a computer
Tethered Jailbreak is when you have to connect to a computer everytime you boot or reboot

i dont think an official jailbreak is out yet for iPad 3

If I am not mistaken, Team Redsn0w came up with an tethered jailbreak for 5.1

As for untethered versions, I guess they are still in the making / have yet to be released.

EDIT: I think it only works on devices with A4 chips on them (iPhone 4, iPod Touch 4th Gen etc.) Also, I do not recommend using jailbreakme.com as it is VERY unstable and crashes constantly.

And yes, I am aware of the jailbreakme.com one... I had that with this iphone but it somewhat bricked and i had to update to fix :/
