I get this error when trying to launch MC

Error: could not open 'D:\Program Files (x86)\lib\amd64\jvm.cfg'

I was fucking around in D and accidentally deleted program files x86, re installed Java but MC is being a bit too stubborn.

When you reinstalled, did you download the 64 bit version?

Yes sir. I did. And the x86 one too. Can you do me a really big favor and link me to the correct java for me, maybe I was downloading the wrong one or something.

Try deleting java.exe from the C:\windows folder\ and the C:\windows\system32\ folder.

After doing that, are you sure you have a 64 bit machine? Check here to make sure:
