Do we want hack for DayZ Standalone?

Well Rocket said everything is going to be server-sided in the SA.
So not sure we are going to have even close to the freedom we have with scripting in DayZ Mod now.

If it is all done properly server side then It wont be easy to hack, modding items into the game would be very difficult , however teleporting and flying would still be very possible and not to hard to script.

I'm not going to be hacking because the point of the game is for it to be realistic and a challenge. No point in hacking in DayZ SA, might as well go on Arma 2 MP and hack in there. It doesn't really matter anyways, since no hackers really get away with anything. Any obvious hackers gets banned instantly, and hackers that tries to hack guns usually gets owned by me since experience beats guns.

keys will be more expensive at the beginning. no legit-steam keys for 8$, no cheap-hack keys for 1$, so i wont hack initially

i also doubt we will even get close to the hacking we have in the dayz-mod

the only things i see happening are the usual, onscreen-ESP, wallhacks, speedhacks - maybe teleporting/flying etc.

but spawning things ? map-markers ? nukes ? hell no

Isn't VAC the one they use for CS and stuff? It'll be easier for people to hack with lol xD

Yeah that's another reason I wouldn't hack. Keys wont be used anymore. It's probably going to be digital copies like WarZ. Each time you get banned, you'll pay another $20-30 for a new game.

They will most likely make it key based again, and make hacking fun... unless they have moved away from their marketing plans of ArmA2.

Maybe not Standalone will be fun and easy to hack but ArmA3 might be, maybe not though maybe they want to go with a different marketing plan/selling plan.

I kind of doubt it though, seeing as they've been selling so good now. But maybe, probably not as they don't really have too much of a reputation to keep and aren't too popular, and if they can milk as much money out then what they are doing now is great. Atleast for ArmA, maybe not so much for DayZ.
