Jumping the gun. Multiplayer native plugin is for the pro version and scripting it from scratch is more worries than the game itself concerning stability and server hosting.

You want to program a game and you don't even know programming? To be blunt, you won't get far at all. To do anything decent in Unity (or pretty much any engine), you have to be proficient in programming.

Game development is one of the most difficult fields within software engineering. Not knowing programming then tackling a game idea is just bound for failure.

I highly recommend learning programming before even touching Unity.

A game like doom should be fun to create. I did in c++, and it was fun.
